We have started the process of an IVA with Tina on Mel's team - very early days though.

This afternoon a bailiff came to the door. We didn't let him in, as advised on this forum, but he said he had put an order of some kind on the car which means he can take in in 84 hours (longer than usual because its the weekend) unless we pay the debt in full. Can he do this.

I have tried calling the person we owe the money to but no luck.

Any advice please- I'm in tears here. My husband is going mad as he needs the car to earn money to pay debts. I don't know what to do.

I cannot trace you as a client from your forum name sorry. Please contact Tina as a matter of urgency so that we can identify who you are and attempt to help.

Hi Melanie

Thanks for the reply.

I have just left a message for Tina on her mobile. We spoke last week, Monday evening at 7 or 8pm for about half an hour, if that helps.

Are you sure it was a bailiff? and not just a debt collector? as they have no right to do this
