Got a reply but no explanation of the delay????

Good afternoon

I refer to your email below and thank you for contacting us.

I understand that you are disappointed, please allow me to assure you as soon as your documents are ready we will post them out to you. If it is the case that we are able to issue your documents in December we will certainly do so.

Although my update is scheduled for 4 January we will be monitoring your case in the interim period and if the situation changes we will be in touch.

I thank you for your patience and should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact customer services on 0844 8552166 or via email at iva.closures@uk.gt.com.

Kind regards

As I've said time and time again, the same old c**p they send out to every one, they have just simply lost the plot.

Oh dear - I can't help wondering if they have sufficient staff numbers to deal with all the additional companies they have taken on.

Thank goodness I went with McCambridge Duffy.

I wonder, kazzafunk, if people ringing GT to enquire about entering an IVA get this runaround ---- something tells me not ! That's where the staff are ......
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I think you could be right foggy.

It's such a shame to see the posts as when I joined the forum they were well respected. I appreciate that all IP's have had to deal with the vat problem then PPI but this affects peoples lives.

I really don't think that daily updates on this post are going to speed things up for markiboy. Direct pressure to your IP, and finding out exactly what is causing the delay might help both sides to understand each other a little better.

We are in the same position. Our F&F was accepted in January this year and we were told 6 months for full completion. Ten weeks ago we were advised that a company would now look into our finances to ensure all is in order ( no mention of PPI's when asked to agree to the company investigating )Ive now been told its going to be another 10 to 12 weeks before their review is complete so i presume our CC will not be issued until then. This will probably take us up to March which will be 14 months since F&F accepted- outrageous by any standards. Would i be right in thinking that GT will benefit massively from all this delay while we are left in limbo. There should be a legal timeframe which IVA closure teams have to adhere to. How dare they take so long to conclude an IVA. They are playing loose with our lives and the only communication we have had is when we have contacted them first and they are very vague. As you can imagine i am extremely irate over this. GT you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves and if there was any way i could take you to task legally over this i would for sure

I know a few Years ago, I was able to book an hour of solicitors' time via the CAB.

I wonder if there is any sort of 'breach of contract' involved here? (Eg: GT saying you will get your CC within a given timeframe, but then being way wide of the mark).

I assume you are looking at this after exhausting the internal complaints procedure etc?

I understand some solicitors give you an initial hour consultation for free. Might be worth phoning a few, and taking it from there.

Good Luck.
My opinions are just that: Based on my experience and being a self-employed IVA customer.
