try not to worry you are doing everything you can to get things sorted, you havent things up like andy says just stop paying creditors now and dont use your credit cards again! it will tske a few weeks for your iva to be approved, try to use this tome to put some contingency money away for a rainy day!

keep posting whenever you feel down or have questions to ask

good luck

Thankyou all for the ongoing support,

The emotions you describe are exactly how I currently feel.

I am not only trying to do all of the practical things (opening accounts etc..) and maintain a full time job/3 kids but I am also trying to shield everyone else from the impact of what we are doing.

We sat down last night with our older 2 kids to talk about xmas and try to explain that we need to live on a budget and that they had a xmas Budget for their presents. We have just told them we are cutting up our cards because we don't want to get into more debt. My son is very bright but autistic so he found it quite difficult to grasp the concept of a different kind of budgeting and his parting shot was " why don't you just keep using those card things it's much easier!!"

Anyway I'm waffling now so I'll sign off but thankyou all so much, I can't express how invaluable your support is.

The pedal uphill may be hard but remember once you reach the top you can take your feet off and freewheel all the way down!!!

Well you sound more positive today billy. Well done you for telling your kids as well, that must be a weight off your mind.

Keep posting and let us know how you are getting on.
