I know not everyone celebrates Valentines Day ,but i was so surprised by hubby today after all the stress and upset we had sorting out our debts(finally in an iva now ) he surprised me with roses and a card which was paid for out of our contingency fund.Sorry for being sloppy and sentimental but just thought id share it with you .lol

Hi
In an IVA presents mean so much more, and I think it's true to say that more thought is put into selecting them.I remember Ang[Aguise]saying the same about Xmas presents last year.
I sell flowers in my little greengrocery shop and I always smile to myself at the guys who stop to buy their flowers on the way home on valentines day, obviously their wife,or someone at work, has reminded them that it's valentines day !!
I also get a few in buying the morning after valentines..................I bet they had an uncomfortable evening !!!
Regards
Andam Davies

Probably of the subject a little so sorry.

But i was shopping at Asda last week and picked up 5 easter eggs as they were priced at £1 each - i went back this week to purchase another 5 and they had gone up to £2 for exactly the same egg !!!

So didnt buy any but whilst i was in Tesco tonight (funnily enough buying some roses and a card on my way home from work) they had easter egg's in there for £1.09 so i bought another 5 before they double in price.

Like i said of subject but a good tip for those of you going to buy easter eggs - get them early whilst you can

I'm quite lucky on the easter egg front. My kids never really want them and the littlest who is autistic hates them.
Mind, this year its going to cost us in computer games, lego and a trip to new look instead.

We don't really do Valentine's Day, although I did buy Dave a jar of Marmite with 'I Love You' on it! I told him not to get me anything as it's my birthday next month and he said he'll pay the donation to a charity so I can have a cat so I told him to put anything he would have spent into the cat fund!

Happy Birthday Caraf! I didn't get a valentines card and never had one in my life! (oh poor me!) We don't even buy each other a birthday card! Who said romance was dead in my house? Seriously the only cards we've ever bought each other are Christmas Cards and the same ones as the first year we were together get packed with the decorations and come out every year.

IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Not a good Valentines day for me, the boyfriend bought round 12 red roses last night and a lovely card, but had another 12 turn up with the florist man this afternoon - from the ex-husband!! - i've got to hide the ex's flowers in my daughters bedroom when he comes over later!!!
shame he never bought me flowers in 20 years of being married to him...
