There not leaving it out its there as a contingency debt but as I'm only gaurantor there looking to put the iva through with all the other creditors as it isn't officially my debt yet till he defaults. This is what there telling me I'm not sure cause I don't know what way it works I can only go by what there tell me so I'm confused now

Please speak to another few companies - if he defaults you will be liable for the whole amount;

Basically, if he defaults, as you have said he intends to do, adding that debt on might make the other creditors ask for you to extend the IVA, or even fail it, as they will not be getting what they voted for. It is a recipe for disaster given that he is very likely to default.

Think I'll just go with stepchange for a dmp and come bk at a later stage for the iva
