I'll definitely give it a go when my IVA finishes, so long as I don't get tempted and use it strictly for my fuel I think I will be ok. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

forgot to add, at the time of application if I feel I can't trust myself I wouldn't go through with the application as I really don't want to be in this situation again. x

I actually filled in the application online 3 or 4 times before submitting it as I didn't know if I could trust myself!

Same here - every now and then I have a splurge on it, although it's always paid in full the next month. I bought my wedding jewellery on it last month, but I knew that I was getting a bonus from work - I probably should still have waited though!

i think the high apr will deter any use and not paying it off every month.
unlike when i had "normal"low apr with the mainstream credit cards and just used without paying off every month.
this card will do its job and get people using them properly.

Exactly, that's what makes me think and if I'm going to have a splurge I plan exactly what I'm going to spend and don't go over it.

I did get caught out by the interest last year - I had to take the cat to the vets and I thought the payment would go on the following month's statement. Unfortunately it didn't and I couldn't afford it and ended up paying a fortune in interest! I cleared it the next month, but that was an emergency and I'd do it again for Harry!

I don't car how much I spend on Harry, he's worth it! Which is handy as his pet insurance has gone up to £20 a month!

Tell me about it! I couldn't change it though as went to the vet last year and although I didn't claim it becomes a pre existing condition.

Pet Plan would have 'considered' lifting it a year after he went to the vet but I didn't want to take the chance they wouldn't.

I can't have him uninsured though as I don't want to have to worry if he needs treatment.
