Hi All

Been a while since i posted, but i'm doing great post IVA. A few years left still for my IVA to drop off my credit file although it has been completed. I applied for a vanquis credit Card and have been accepted.

The limit is only £250 High APR but i'm going to use it to build up my credit rating, going to use it and pay off the full balance each month so not worried by APR.

The lady from Vanquis on the phone was trying to sell the payment insurance for the card payments i said i don't want it and she wanted to know why i didnt want it lol and she asked me a few times until i abruptly said I DONT WANT IT. She also asked if i wanted an immediate cash advance of £200 which could be in my account in 5 days but i also said no to this.

Anyone else had a Vanquis credit card? I also want to know that if i pay the balance in full each month there would be no interest charges??

Thanks

It's the same as any other card, pay it off in full when you get your bill and you won't get charged any interest.

I do think that despite the high APR it's a good way to re-build your credit rating so long as it's paid off in full each month, as others say there should be no interest assuming payments are received in full each month and on time. Nice to hear you're doing great post-iva. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I've got a Vanquis card and, like the others have said, providing you clear the balance in full each month there will be no interest charges.
