Hi All

Just filled out all my forms to vary my IVA payments due to my up and down wage , the average of which is £2900 on when I started my IVA in May , the average now is £2660.

Are the creditors usually fair and sensible in this matter considering that this was mainly bought about since the global credit crunch came about !

Also out of my girlfriends wage of £600 , is there a set amount she should give on I/E ?

How much did you originally agree to pay, and how much do you think you can afford now? Does your girlfriend live with you? If so she ought to contribute 18% of the overall household expenditure in line with the ratio of her earnings to the overall total.

Hi Melanie

Thanks for your reply ..i agreed to pay £1077 ,49p in the pound , realistically looking at paying £900.00 . Have paid every month bar one in November which was a really bad month so paid the IVA all I could afford of £177.00. Confidence will come back I'm in dentistry , and its all about confidence . Happened before in late eighties , early nineties .

Explained everything and have asked to reset figure , put what I owe over for a month at the end , and to pay more if and when I have a good month over and above the agreed new amount .

Apart from that not much else I could do , it was unforeseen ...

Thankyou :)

Does your IP have the ability to reduce your payments by up to 15% without recourse to the creditors under the terms of your proposal?
