It is perfectly natural to be on pins, when something means so much to you, and if you want to have a chat or a moan about anything along the way then you are in the right place. I am sure the variation will be accepted, and we are all keeping everything crossed for you for the next week.

Worst case! Would the supervisor ever say a straight "No" or would they possibly attempt to see if I could offer more. I have a distant cousin who could maybe give me a few extra quid but dont really want to go there. Also how the heck can the supervisor get decisions from my ten creditors to give me a straight answer??

It is not your Supervisor's decision, it is for the creditors and yourself to negotiate on any modifications. And the Supervisor does not need 10 creditors to make decisions - they have all received a copy of your revised proposals, and the meeting has been called to give them the opportunity to vote on those proposals. If they do not vote by the given time, they are bound by the decisions made by those who do.

Jb I know exactly how you feel, mine went through last month. Problem is it's now out of your hands and there's nothing at all you can do apart from speculate on the what if's!!
All you can do now is try to keep busy and not think about it. Save all your energy for celebrating! If the worst case scenario happens you can deal with it then but doubt you will need to.
Good Luck

But how the heck can I negotiate with several creditors when I assumed the £4,500 or part of it should be distributed between them. How do I know what goes to whom? Why am I panicking ? So therefore, if say 4 come back in agreement but 6 cant be bothered replying then it would go through? So sorry to hack you on Melanie on a Friday.

The supervisor has my mobile and have told them to ring ring as soon as they know anything. Supervisor emailed me to say they note that and will do if they have any queries?

I need to relax !!

No problem at all JB - that is what I am here for!

You don't need to negotiate with creditors - that is the role of your IP and if they have put a variation forward for you leave that matter with them. There does seem to be some confusion about the IP fees, so have a look at your IVA proposal, Chairman's report and variation report to see exactly what they are charging - post the info on here if you like, and I can let you know whether this seems in order.

Could just email you the variation/proposal etc if you wanted to have a look. Is that possible. If not its not a problem. Do you have an email address or do you want to send your email address to *email address deleted* for confidentiality purposes??

*Bit late on this, but you are not allowed to post email addresses on the site.

I can do - but you will find that admin will delete your e-mail address as they do not like people posting such personal information.

Hi Guys. I FEEL SICK !!
Sure this wont be my only post on here today but the Variation meeting is tomorrow and told that will have faxes, decisions in by today?? Is that right? I know the experts on here all say that my offer on the basis of the details (45 months paid, current economic climate, job loss possibility in April, salary reduction very possible) that my offer will or should be grabbed with both hands but absolutely flapping over the weekend and this morning.
Thanks all

JB

I am sure that a lot of the voting will be done today, however the meeting is not until tomorrow so sit tight and wait for your IP to call you then.

I have never had a variation meeting turned down, and the vast majority put forward are generally accteped, so you ought to be fine.
