As my fellow regular froum contributors will know, ive always been very supportive of DFD, as they have been superb for me over the last 6 years.
This morning I thought i would give them a call to enquire on progress re my completion certificate ( yes I know in previous posts ive said im in no rush and im not but thought an updaate would be nice )
I was in the qeueue for just over 7 minutes, with the rceorded message initially suggesting i may like to email my enquiry.
This then changed after 7 minutes, to a message not suggesting, but instructing me to email my enquiry and then I was hung up on.
There is no excuse for bad service in any organisation and this is a blatent disregard to provide even the most basic level of customer service.
Im sure if the Chairman of Fairpoint ( DFDs parent company ) was ringing a utility co from home and this happened he would be quick to call this extremely bad service.
Im very dissapointed that DFD is no longer the organisation it was when I commneced my IVA journey 6 years ago. Of course it has to eb run to make a profit, but the onvioulsy overworked staff are clearley too sparse in terms of numbers to be unable to leave customers in a queue for 7 minutes.
Rant over.... maybe it wil be quicker just to wait for my completion certificate than it will be to get through on the phone !!!

I'm wondering what has happened to Declan - he's not posted on here for over a month.

Totally agree with you 12 months to go regarding trying to phone DFD, that blasted automated woman gets on my nerves, especially when i'm more than willing to hang on for over 10 minutes till i get an answer but to be cut off without so much as by your leave is really frustrating and you don't phone for a social call it is generally because you want answers!
I think that Declan is either on his jollies and well earned in my book or he himself is inundated with work that he has no time for being on here or worse case senario he has moved on, let's hope not.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

I'm counting the hours till i pay my last payment tomorrow, generally i pay via SD on the 1st of the month but because the 26th falls on a sunday i get paid tomorrow so i'm going to take great delight in phoning them, if i get answered of course and making that payment. I wanted to go there in person as it's not far from me, but apparently they don't take cash lol. So then the wait begins for that all important CC but but because my IVA was extended for 6 months to pay an additional payment of £746 which i will have paid by tomorrow, i don't think i'll get it till Jan but then again you never know!!!! Good luck hope you get that all important piece of paper soon. x

Think mine will be that way also ..
managed to get through to dfd earlier, they confirmed it was passed to closures on 30th July, meaning as my variation meeting was on 16th july, it took DFD 2 full weeks to move it from 1 department to another. God help us. Perhaps closures is in timbuk2 and not Chorley !!
I got the usual Generic " it will take 4-6 months to close " speel. I might email Declan later but I think he's gone AWOL !! hes come up trumps for me in the past but i get the impression he's snowed under maybe.
They definatley dont seem to have enough staff to deal with items in a timely manner. The Annual report of their parent company makes interesting reading, several times mentioning the aim and need to be more profitable, which translate in my opinion to " we will have less staff and work them like dogs, sod the debtors ",
Oh well, maybe i shouldnt have rung, as the info give today was less promising than when i rang 5 weeks ago.
Yes I may have been foolish financialy in years gone, by but feel agrieved that DFD do not consider myself or my fellow debtors worthy of good customer service.

I too have been very disappointed with DFD lately. The first few years of my IVA they were excellent, but recently I have had the same problem of being held in a queue only to be hung up on after 10 minutes, which is absolutely astonishing in terms of rudeness. They are also very slow in dealing with any questions and correspondance which again was never the case a few years ago.
I would not recommend them to anyone!!!
