I'd be getting close to making a personal visit to the offices and refusing to budge until it was sorted.

"Doing what they can" doesnt cut it when there's a mans job on the line. They need to be going "above and beyond"...and they are clearly not doing that. You shouldnt be having to chase them, you shouldnt have this worry, and they should be providing you with regular updates, and really taking this worry away from you by sorting this mess, that they've created, out!!

That's what I was thinking Niobe. The clock's ticking and there doesn't seem to be a sense of urgency about Dfd trying to resolve it - pray that's wrong. Hold strong Gina.gu. X

Bradders and gillib I have the feeling they are doing nothing and with holding info so I can't inform my solicitor. Declan sai he caught up with eleanor at around 3pm and she was going to update me with the closing issue and the complaints team are dealing with the complaint. Its now the close of buisness and nothing. Really livid right now :/ its my life and my kids life not to mentions my husbands health they are playing with. Feeling rather fed up with it all at the moment. At the moment I am the strong one though and I am trying o keep it that way. I look back to the start of our iva when I had a meltdown a bit the same and ended up about a month in my pjs so I guess now is my time to be the strong one, but its beginning to get me down. I won't break as I have to see this through and when the tears start to try and escape I switch my mind..can't afford to not win this one. So a big thanks everyone on here for being my rock . ..x

Well I am gobsmacked!! Finally after my 100 odd emails and phone calls we finally have lift off! Just as the floodgates were going to open. Eleanor has just sent us by email an attachment for us both to sign saying we don't want to claim ppi! Job done. Insolvency being notified tomorrow. Paperwork being drafted now and a copy of the final report being scanned and sent to us by email as well as in the post as well as a copy of the ceasing to act form! Thank you all so much. :) x

Hi

Great news and it just shows the power of the forum. Can you imagine having to deal with this completely on your own ?

I hope your husband keeps his job and that you can move on with your lives now that you are debt free

Regards
Andam Davies

I am pleased to see that common sense has at last prevailed here, and that your IP - once she became aware of the situation - acted in a responsible and sensible manner. Completely agree with Andy about the forum, but glad that it gave you the confidence to fight your corner and insist that this issue was taken to the very top. The support you have received here has been tremendous, and now your IP just needs to get the job done. Well done to all who have had a hand in this query.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

I put all this down to the forum ! Absolutely. I had no one to turn to for support . Kids all over the place. Husband down and no reply from anyone at dfd. Eleanor wants all the 200 odd emails I was sent so she can deal with the complaint and hepefully make sure it does not happen again. Luckily I kept them all. I would if anyone is in my situation regarding ppim get it in writing that you do not have to claim from dfd. This forum and all yoiu guys on it has been my rock. Thanks for geeing me up and spuring me on. At last I can sleep after my shift and calm down my hours. Hubby is so happy and says thanks from the bottom of his heart. Xx

OMG Gina.gu!! What a relief for you and hubby!! Everyone on here has been willing you on every step of the way - I bet it wasn't just me who screamed with joy!! When everything is ACTUALLY done and dusted, see through the complaint, as there is no way you and hubby should ever have been put through this in the first place - but tonight CELEBRATE!! xxx
