Gina, Ellie is a good IP and will be sure to fully investigate your complaint to ensure that no-one has to suffer in this way again. There may be some disjoints in the system, but she will take the issue seriously and respond to you in due course I am sure.

Haven't posted on this one... but have being following the thread. I am so pleased that this is all sorted and hope that your complaint will prevent some other poor soul being put in this unnecessary and ridiculous situation. I send my congratulations to you and your family, and hope that husband can get on with his new job and enjoy it, which is as it should be.

Good News Gina, hope all works out for you and your family.

The company we are with is DFD and our ip is also Eleanor Mckinnion and yes I’ve emailed her before but only had response eventually, from someone else.
Luckily dfd have already asked us to do the ppi claims, which has been done. However it would have been nice if dfd had told us what they did with the money that was claimed etc.
It’s certainly scary out here and following your thread makes me wonder what’s going to happen when our time comes for completion.

Best wishes anyway Gina x

Thank you all. I will be sure to follow my complaint through. Mel, I am sure ellie has her strengths but I really do not undersand how she agreed our non ppi claim by email then forgot somehow that she had approved it . Maybe it was a communication issue, but we have bEen to hell and back recently and our marriage just survived as a result of this bad management and / or lack of communication. Oce ellie had the evidence I emailed her once once she saw I was serious about my complaint she did step up to the mark eventually, but it was me chasing everyone and fighting to get answers some of which have not been answered. Not a good service at all. Its happened now and if it all gets investigated ad something put inplace then that's good. I did not suffer for nothing. Would rather have not suffered at all. The whole of dfd has to share the blame. It cannot be set at one persons feet. Everyone involved should look at their practice. Ip as well. It took months of messing and failed promised o come to this and only with 6 days to spare was it settled. I really hope it does not happen again and the standard piece of paper we were given to sign by ellie becomes standard practice. All it said was "I do not believe I was mis sold ppi and do not want to claim" something as simple as that has caused so much hurt humiliation and stress.

I would say that she is a very busy lady with thousands of cases under her supervision, but thank goodness in your case you have the result you have fought long and hard for over the last few days. Sleep easy tonight.

Oh dear - I bet you could have done with a good sleep tonight! I'm going to hit the hay soon as I have to go to our Belfast office tomorrow for a few days, and need to pack.

Hi Gina.gu!! What a bright & beautiful morning eh?! I had a dream last night - never happens as I've got chronic insomnia!! Anyway - I dreamt that my health was fully restored and was able to resurrect my counselling and holistic therapy business!! Guess who BEGGED me for my services? IVA COMPANIES & IP's!!!!! They reckoned I'd be swamped with referrals from them, as they recognised how much anxiety and stress being in an IVA can provoke at times - on top of 'normal life stressors'. They were begging me to help out their clients - but particularly targeting those at the start & end of their IVA journey. They said this would form part of their internal review strategy regarding their KPI's - appropriately supporting and empowering their customers to achieve 100% positive outcomes!! I'm awake now..!! x
IVA journey started: 30th March 2009. Settled: 17th July 2012. Completion Certificate received: 13th March 2013. Breathe. x

We do actually offer a counselling service to our own clients in house, and I think even IPs themselves will need a little holistic therapy once the VAT and PPI issues are resolved!
