I'm 8 months on from my last payment made to DFD and still wont get a date from them when i will receive my completion certificate. Getting out of hand. Last response was 'we have had to complete some additional reviews which are taking longer than anticipated.
We are working through the cases in order and please be assured that we will close your case as soon as possible.'
So other things and other people are given priority rather than someone whose been waiting to mOve on with their lives after 5 years, 8 months and counting.. Guess I'm not a priority any more after receiving all their fees amounting to thousands and thousands of pounds (10 or more perhaps) and am put back down the bottom of the pile while priority is given to more income generating clients...
Will give it another week or so before going through the complaints procedure and follow up with regulator/financial ombudsman

Hi shammy hope u get it sorted. If we were not given a timeline my husband would have stayed in his old job. Its just broken promises we made our final f and f payment in april and completion team has suppodesly been working on closure when we made our 1st f and f lump sum payment in feb. We were promised completion in may as we have no home and no assets. Really promises should not be made that can't be followed through. In my case with 8 children and step children going down to one wage will crush us. 8 months is a long time to wait. Ask for answers from your ip

Never spoke to my IP , dont think with their busy schedules us mere mortals will get to speak to them.. Its annoying as when nearing the end last year it was suggested 3 months for completion, then as I had finished it became 'up to 6 months' due to vat issue, and now thats been resolved there is still no definite timeline given and could potentially be an endless wait as i've lost confidence of anything thats said.. With the amount paid in fees this shouldnt happen and if required should get more resources in to deal with it, am sure they have a lot of clients all paying fees to the iva company so not short of a few bob :-) ... Guess new clients and people still paying in are more of a priority than somone whos finished but they dont realise the impact it haS on clients

Totally agree shammy. Lifes put on hold isn't it. It also has had an awful efect on my husband. He's got no energy left at all and the shame and humiliation from what he has suffered as a result of the "cock up" is huge. Gets to a point where you have no confidence in what is said at all. My husbands manager looked at all the emails and instantly said "run around" shouldn't have had to show private stuff in the first place. Hope u find a way through to your ip and get some answers .

Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

What an awful frustrating situation to be in. It's so unfair to be treated like this when you've kept your side of the agreement. I really do hope you get it sorted asap.
