I'm not sure about ours to be honest. We pay the top rate for Topsy at £10 a month. I'll have to have a look at ours as well.

I've just had another look and it seems that the top cover is £7500 per condition, which I take to mean that the £7500 has to last for the life of the pet, but if something else was wrong you can claim up to another £7500. In most cases that would be plenty, but I preferred the idea of being able to claim £7000 per year.

My mum has her dog insured with Sainsburys and they have been excellent when she claimed. However, the premiums are now horrendous - it's gone from £18 to £44 per month.

That's a lot of money. I left Suzie with Petplan this year as the others were similar premiums or more.

I shall be searching again when Lloyds comes up for renewal.

And the problem is she can't change as she's claimed for Blaze's arthritis treatment.

That's the problem, once you have claimed for a condition, it's excluded with any other company.

I don't think I can change Harry's pet insurance now - even though I didn't claim when he was ill, most insurers would now class it as an existing condition so he wouldn't be covered.

It's as bad as BUPA!

Yes, they always ask you if you have been to the vets other than for routine innoculations.

I think that's stupid as it was only an upset tummy!

Oh well, it looks as though he's Argos 'Arry for life now!

I thought about trying to get him into feline modelling, but I don't think he's got the temperament - I can imagine him attacking the photographer!
