Yes you are right that it is us who pays the money into the pot but the IP fees come out of this instead of all going to the creditors who are mostly getting alot less back than they originally lent. Depends how you look at it I suppose.

Look at it like this........regardless of the fees charged by the IP your payments into your IVA will be the same[in theory] regardless of the company that you use as all your disposible income is going into the IVA.Creditors pay for the IP by accepting a reduced amount from the monies that you have paid in.

Thanks Andy you put it better than me - even though we did a f+f IVA the amount we paid over would be the same regardless of the IP fees
