Hello everyone,

It's a couple of weeks since been in site, had alot happened lately. We couldn't cope with the stress of not knowing if the mortgage would be paid in full when house sold (house not sold yet-repossessed Aug)so we stopped Husbands IVA and he has been declared BR, such a relief and certainly not an easy option as we are both BR now!
The stress of the last year has really caught up with me and I am on tablets to help me out and what I am worrying about is this - I cannot cope with my job anymore and have decided to leave as it's making me ill, I don't want to go off sick (small company etc) and think the best thing to do is leave and look for work elsewhere with less hours, I'm worried what the OR will do as we have been told there will be an income order and I don't want to think I am leaving work because of this, when I do get another job I will pay whatever, whenever but I really can't cope. sorry its such a long post and I probs sound abit useless but I'm just so low at the mo.
Thanks
Rachel

HI Rachel

Its totally normal to feel low when you have debt problems, I have been BR since July and am still sorting out my housing situation, Im a full time single parent and in full time work. It all goees round & round in your head, you worry about everything, sometimes you cant sleep, sometimes you dont want to face the world at all.
Sounds normal to me ..[:D]
I can only say that it does get better, Im beginning to cheer up and look past the debt and hassle.

The OR's have seen it all and wont be surprised that you are trying to find something part time .

Thanks Mish,

It's strange isn't it - you think you have turned a corner but I've felt like that at every stage! This forum makes you realise you are not alone and not the only one going through this. This time last year I was at the depths of despair but when I think about what we have been through we are slowly rebuilding a new life.

Good luck with the re-housing, we have been quite lucky in that we have got moved and it's a lovely little place.

Thanks again for the reply.

Rachel

Hi Rachel, I hope you're feeling better soon. It's perfectly understandable that you are stressed, but things will get better for you.

Regarding the job, don't worry about it - do what is best for your health and happiness. The OR isn't there to make you work all the hours - it is your choice how you live your life x

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Thanks Skippy,

I have sent an email to the OR office explaining my situation and just asking what will happen, I'm such a worrier and it's so obvious we never meant for all this to happen but my problem is I do seem to worry about everything - especially when it's official!
Like you say my health and happiness are important and I'm sure they wouldn't want things to spiral any further.
Thanks again
Rachel

Hi rachel
It sounds like you have been through so much stress and worry.
I think you need to invest in some me time and look after yourself, as things will improve.

Have a Happy Christmas and I hope that 2008 holds better things for you[:)]

Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

Thankyou Emma,

This forum really has been a great support to both myself and my husband and we really couldn't have managed without your help and advice.

I know I am making the right decision now, it's just so scary as I've never done anything like this before - then again I have never been through anything like this before!
All the best to everyone and a peaceful 2008.

I will keep in touch and let you all know how it goes.
Love Rachel
