Im currently living with parents and paying £200 rent per month, but my boyfriend is looking to get a mortgage in HIS NAME ONLY and me move in with him and pay rent towards cost of mortgage. It will probably be about £250 i will need to pay and i guess you would class it as rent.

Although i know my IP will probably agree the increase in rent (i hope), does anyone know of any inplications it might have as it will now be a partner ill be living with? I dont want any equity being questioned and expected to go into my IVA when it wont actually be my property.

I live with my partner (the mortgage is in his name) and I pay him £200 per month 'rent' and when I was in an IVA my IP had no problems with that.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Treat yourself as a lodger, and get your boyfriend to provide you with a proper rental agreement and rent book to record the monies you pay. Also work out the basis for sharing bills, and provide your IP with details.
