Hi

I am considering trying to get an IVA - I owe 32k approx with HSBC owed 22k Egg 3.5k and the rest to MBNA

I'm 28 and was wondering what the reality of living under an IVA is like. I bearly can cover my payments and bills at the mo so I know i have to do something but I am worried what the impact will be for my future.

I would welcome any frank advice aboutwhat I should do and the restrictions I would comply with. I have contacted thomas charles and they are confident about if I procede with then the IVA it will be accepted

Hi jonny
Life is tough in an IVA,be under no illusions
However it is worth the pain because it will give you a fresh start in life, completely debt free.

It is hard living on such a tight budet. It also teaches you that if you cant afford, you cant have.
If set up and used correctly it can be very good. I think in the end, the benefits far outweigh the alternative.

Good luck

I think the benefit is greater if you do not own any part of a property as equity release in year 4 means that you will be paying for a lot longer than years.
