Good Evening Everyone,

10 months on from when my iva was settled I am doing well and one thing it taught me was to not spend what we dont have.

My fixed rate runs out this October and woundered whether anyone could advise me of a good broker who could secure me another fixed rate ?

I am currently with the Halifax and dont think they will give me another fixed rate, so may need to move my mortgage if possible.

Thanks for everyone's help last year, this forum is truely an amazing place and recently told my friend to get on here as she was having IVA trouble and was helped by some of the experts.

Happy New Year

Poxy

Hi Poxy, glad life is treating you well and glad your friend got the help she needed from the forum.

Not sure about the mortgage but might be worth trying the Halifax first. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi Aaliya,

Sometimes posts have a habit of disappearing by themselves!!!!!!

I have, however, removed the link from your signature as you are not allowed to put advertising links on the forum.

Hi Jan

Appreciate the reply; At least there is a human involved here not automated booting :). What links are allowed? I want to contribute here on a regular basis (just discovered this place) but obviously want to play by the rules. You gotta allow us something to keep coming back to keep posting right? :)

thx again

Aaliya

As a new member you won't be allowed any advertising at all, it's only if you become an expert and that's not down to me I'm afraid. You could email Andy Davie who is the one who makes the decisions. You can find his email address under the 'Ask a Question' section on the left hand side.

Put your case to him and see what he says.

We have to be careful who we allow to advertise otherwise we would be inundated with all sorts of things.

Try the halifax first as they may well be keen to keep you as a customer, and its more for them if they do get you onto a fixed rate given the base rate right now.

Aaliya what do you mean you have to allow us something to keep coming back posting? You get something back, you get to know that you are helping others out!!!

The thing as well is that nobody in an IVA is going to be able to get a remortgage at the moment and it's pretty hard once you have finished unless you have a hefty deposit.

What exactly is your field of expertise Aaliya?
Dont be so hasty to move on,if you feel you can help then great, but if that has to come at a cost to the site then thats really not what its all about.

no haste here, i was just saying time to move on. My expertise is in property investing and finance and when you feel you can help a lot of people then you want to do it. But that is not always possible when you have a day job helping people who pay you too.

Jan suggested that signature could be approved if i sought permission from the right authority, which suggests the possibility of posting a link is can be allowed without it being at the expense of the site.

I doubt you would be allowed to promote that on here as the vast majority of us are not in a position to be investing or needing finance for the forseeable future! I hadn't realised exactly what you did as I didn't visit the link.

General advice is fine.

Ahh ok,I didnt see previous posts with said link so had no idea what your line of business was.

I drive an ambulance on shiftwork and help on the forum whenever I can on days off etc.

I am not sure that anyone using this forum has the money for investing in anything during an IVA but post IVA your services may be useful!!
