I have had an IVA for the past 2 years and I am just about to be made redundant, I would like to carry on paying the IVA as normal if I can afford to so, whilst getting another job.
Can you tell me what legally I have to do?
Thank you - Tony.

Hi Tony

Speak to your Supervisor and say what has happened. The advance warning will be appreciated and if the Supervisor has advance notice he will be more likely to be able to cut you some slack whilst you are looking for work.

How long have you been in the job, and are you expecting any sort of redundancy package? If so, this can be used to supplement your income in the meantime, but if you find a new job before this has been absorbed then the balance will be payable into the IVA as a windfall.
