Has anyone used MoneyExpert to set up their IVA? I approached them for advice on a suitable loan and they suggested an IVA (not heard of one before) which having spoken to them, read through this website and used this forum seems the best route for me. They've been really reassuring to date but I would be grateful to hear of any first hand experiences. Cheers

I think they are just an agent. The website is a way of touting business for companies. Why not give Melanie a call as it's best to shop around for your IVA so you get the best one to suit you.

Hi Sara,

Moneyexpert use to be a broker and sell there IVA's on but they now have there own in house IP.

Did they discuss all the options with you as an IVA is not the only way to deal with you debt there are other choices.

Can you tell us a little more about your circumstances ?

I think they use a few companies Melanie, so don't think there's one IP in particular.

Hi Sara

Just wanted to say well done on taking the first steps to addressing your debt problem. My advice would always be to go with your intuition ... if something 'feels' right then it probably is. But don't feel that it wouldn't be right to get a second opinion on the situation.

All the best

Debbie

hi - just wanted to say that our creditors meeting is on the 28th - our ip is melanie - alot of work has had to be done for our case as we have alot of creditors but i can honestly say i cannot fault melanie and her team, their efficiency, expertise and non judgemental attitude has been second to none.

make sure you are happy with the ip you choose as you will be with them for probably 5 years or in our case 6

good luck
