Hi. when my IVA was proposed it was agreed I would pay £1400 month from Oct til May when my son will be 18 and maintenance stops, then £450 per month. However the IVA took a long time to be accepted and payments did not begin until December. Will monthly payments still be reduced in May when my income reduces?

Hi Vanessa
Have you checked what is written within your proposal? Your IP would be able to advise but I wouldn't have thought there would be a problem. You can't pay something that you don't have.

The payments will reduce in May as originally planned.

Thanks. Since my IVA was accepted I have have received nothing from Varden Nuttall. Should I have any kind of contracts or confirmation sent. I had a phone call saying my IVA had been accepted by 0.1% but no other contact. Just feel I might be missing something?

You should have been provided with a copy of your Chairman's Report within 4 days of the creditors meeting, and most IPs will also send you a confirmatory letter detailing the main terms of your IVA and confirming key points of which you need to be aware.
