Hi to everyone who were so helpful on sunday. I have received loads more phone calls since sunday so in the end I gave in and paid them all varying payments from £5 to £2...... Well they have had a payment :o))

Hi,
This is totally upto each individual, I was advised not to make any token payments so I just told them I was in no position to make a payment, and as so did not make any token payments and they were all fine with that. It makes no difference to the outcome of an IVA.
What did your IP advise you to do?
"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it."

she said it was upto me - but i was fedup with the calls - so I made the smallest of payments - so when they ring I can say I have made a payment.

You may have a quiet week but they will start again and press for further token payments. After all each is trying to get what they can from you. We simply did not answer the phone and did 1471 when it had stopped, it was easier than trying to explain over and over again. We were advised not to make payments but it was difficult at times.

Just a thought - do you have a mobile?

If you do you could explain to all your family and close friends that from now on could they call/text you on your mobile if they need to get hold of you and then turn the ringer off on your landline or disconnect for a bit? It would give you a quiet life!!

Try and stay strong.
