I'm glad you had a good day Lily. The support I have had on this forum has been great, especially you and Kerri. You're right, the people around you are so much more important than money. Something happened yesterday that really brought home to me how lucky I am. I know when you are in debt that it takes over your life, but we all need to remember what is really important - not the creditors, but us and our family and friends.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Well had gandsons christening today it was a really lovely day,and have now lost 7ib so outfit looked good.It has inspired me to carry on.
My fatherinlaw has terminal cancer and has paid for the whole family to have a two week holiday abroad in september as much as i look forward to this its so sad how it has come about i'd rather not have aholiday but they don't know our financail situation so we have to go along with it. it will be nice to spend what will probably be our last holiday with him.makes me feel so guilty wish i'd had the courage to tell him how dire our situation is,but as he is now not getting any better i don't want to put any more stress on his situation,i don't think it would help him now to know we are struggeling,he always thought we were doing so well

I'm glad the christening went well Tracy, and well done for losing the 7lb. I'm so sorry to hear about your father in law. Go on the holiday as it's what he wants. Make sure you enjoy it so that you have happy memories of your father in law. My uncle died from cancer earlier this year, and we spent a weekend with last year and I treasure the memories of that weekend.

HI Freelili
Just read your message, it was so heart warming it bought a tear to my eye. So glad that you had a lovely birthday and that you are much more positive now. Being in debt has certainly changed my outlook on several things and I am certainly alot more consious of money and alot less blazay (can't spell that lol)
All the best Spenmotherhen

Well I weighed myself on Friday and despite going to the gym 3 times last week I managed to put on 1/2lb!

And just to make matters worse, I met up with my cousin in Brighton today, and heard myself agreeing to enter next year's London to Brighton Cycle Race! I haven't ridden a bike for years, so I might have to get some training in! Why oh why did I open my big mouth?!?!?

I've given up on the diet for the time being - I'm just trying to be sensible. I'm not weighing myself until I get back from holiday as I don't want to make myself miserable before I go away! I've got my 5 year service award from work - £50 towards a meal for 2, so I intend to stuff myself that night!

I've decided to bite the bullet and take myself off the WW next week, need to lose 2 stone but at least 1 before November. Got to look fabulous for my sons wedding as my ex hubby and his wife(they were doing the nasty for 2 years before I found out!)will obviously be there. There is definately pressure as I don't have the spare money to just go out and buy what I want.[:(]

Good luck with WW! I haven't decided whether to do Slimming World or WW, but I need to do something - we have been invited to Dave's ex-wife's wedding (don't ask, long story!) and I am determined to look good! I don't know when it is yet, but I need to start before I get any bigger!

Went to my first meeting with WW on Wednesday, although I knew it, was still shocked!! Anyway the good news is that my shopping bill will go down as I'm gonna have to nearly starve to fit into my Mother of the Groom outfit at the wedding in November!!

Hey ho - now where's that chopped carrot.

Question: Why don't fruit teas taste as good as they smell???

I get paid on Wednesday so I think I might join WW on Thursday. I'll do it on my own until then and then take a deep breath and go! I'm doing (walking only!) the Race for Life tomorrow so that should be some bonus points earned.

I never drink fruit tea as I have to put sugar in it so it defeats the object! I do like peppermint tea though and I drink a few cups of that during the day.
