after having a rough time with a iva company where my iva was rejected. HSBC told me they won't accept a DMP from a profit making organisation and thet i should go through CCCS. have read some worrying posts about them. anyone been through them?

im currently on a dmp with the cccs and they are pretty good
however i am applying for an iva seeing as some of my creditors refuse to stop interest
this is despite nunerous letters to the credtors in question from myself and also asking the cccs to help.

the cccs in my mind do give you breathing space to get creditors off your back but if you are in a long term dmp and seeing as nothing is legal and binding it is a bit of a tightrope .

Hsbc have already told me they won't stop interest. my whole point of going on DMP was as a short term option ie once i have the statements to prove certain creditors won't stop interest i could re-apply for IVA

Hey chefchic, HSBC won't let you go with a fee charging company and won't stop the interest?!! That's awful, how are they helping you doing that?! Please wait for one of the IPs to see what they think. Paypal don't charge a fee either. X

thats what i thought! I feel like everything I propose gets thrown back in my face. also I find they're ringing me like 2/3 times per day and asking me the same questions over and over. Do they not talk to each other.

No chefchic, they don't. You have to explain it every time, it's terrible. Hang in there for Melanie or Andy they might be able to shed some light on this. X

Hang on in there, it can be a real roller coaster at a time such as this ... but there WILL be a solution.

Hi there

I am aware of clients with HSBC on a DMP who have interest frozen ( no CCJ !), and others with fee charging DMP companies with interest frozen!

I suspect that you would be better of letting someone else handle this to at least get some professional representation for you and hopefully some peace of mind.

Have you spoken with the team at Bright Oak? they are not as big as CCCS so you get a really personal service and I understand they have a great reputation with creditors.

worth a call to have a conversation

I would agree with Paul Chefchic. I think that it is always good to have a professional who knows what they are doing working on your side and providing some advocacy for you. I think HSBC are just trying it on.

Do HSBC honestly mean thatb they will send your money back if it is sent via a fee paying company? I rather doubt it!

I did a DMP with a fee paying company and HSBC were no problem.
