Can anyone tell me where I might find a list of allowable living expenses.
I am looking for a list so I do not forget things like prescriptions, dentists etc. I am sure I have read somewhere that you are even allowed to put down for haircuts.
I believe CCCS do a breakdown of expenses allowable.
You do need to put down EVERYTHING you pay out for. Once you speak to your IP, they will tell you if what you have put down isn't allowed!

I think it does, but I don't think it is written in stone as some people have allowances that others don't.
If you have any questions about an allowance you think you are entitled to but isn't mentioned, please ask.

I good IP will prompt you for all your outgoings, but you need to think and break it down and what I did was first think start with outgoings daily i.e. eating, driving to work etc. then think weekly, then what do you need to spend in DDs monthly like utility bills etc. then annually like dentists, car maintenance/breakdown.
I did all the big stuff first like the mortgage, utility bills, council tax. Then went through the more mundane stuff like weekly shopping etc.
It's amazing what you do spend when you sit down and add it all up.

My review is due in November I wasn't aware that you could claim for hairdressing, glasses and prescription charges, this will be my 3rd review is it too late to add these costs on? So far I only claim for basic household bills food and car expenses, house and life insurance costs. but with the cost of everything increasing I am finding it harder and harder to manage each month. I am going to try and see what happens and keep everything crossed for a positive outcome.
