Hi Shane and welcome.

You should be able to keep that money yourself. I don't think anyone on here has had to pay it across. If you are unsure, give your IP a ring and check, but it should be all yours!

I dont think such a small ammount would be classed as a windfall and would therefore be yours to spend.

Definately not - it was money which was wrongly taken from you, and now it is being paid back.

I know I feel cheated as I didn't get mine either, I work for the NHS and payroll are a bit slow on implementing any change to pay. I did notice my tax code changed in Sept but no mention of a tax rebate or overpayment on the wage slip....hey ho I am sure I will get it in time.
Getting in dec pay would be good for me [:p]

Mine wasn't listed as a separate item, I just paid £60 less tax than I normally would have. As long as I got it [;)]

It wouldnt be listed as a seperate item, like you say you would just pay less tax, they dont actually pay £60 to you

I received mine last week and on my salary slip the amount was deducted from the tax column. My Tax Code is 543L usually but on the latest one it is showing as 603L. Hmmmm, me don't understand Tax matters but at least I got the £60[:)]

Oh right.........I see, silly me[:o)]
Maybe I did get it then with my tax code changing this month, I get varying amounts in unsocial hour payments so its not that obvious to see on my gross income. I am no good with all things regarding money, but then my membership here proves it [:p]
I am going to have to learn though

Jane,

If you check the HM Revenue Website, it explains it all on there. Not sure whether I could send a link here but if you select where it says Extra Personal Allowance, it explains in great detail all about the different Tax Codes. Hope this helps [:)]
