hi all my wife and i have been in an iva for 2yrs
she had to change jobs last month as her firm was going down the pan
the job she has now pays alot less to the extent we may not have any funds to pay are iva.
she called our ip and they only ask are we going to default and were very rude to her which upset her alot and gave no advice .
it seems to me iva companys only care about the pofit they make and not the people in the iva's
to make things worse my job is unstable now due to the globle financal problems and may go under soon
does anyone have any advice

thanks

I am realy sorry youre in this position, have you actually spoken to the IP concerned? My advice would be to actually email the IP, he or she may not actually be aware of the problems you are facing. Go to www.iva.com to find the email address of your IP and email directly.

Good luck.

Hi Danboy and welcome to the forum

Your IP firm may have this attitude, but I can assure you that the majority of IPs do not.

The only advice that I can give you is to hang in for as long as you can - but if you get to the stage that you cannot pay, then look for another solution. In the circumstances you describe, bankruptcy may be an option, if you have no assets which would be at risk under those proceedings.

All IPs know that things are really tough out there at the moment - and they should show some understanding of their client's plight and try to help.
