Hi.
I have now had the county court judgement set aside and it seems to have been removed for my credit file. I have cheched with the registry trust and done a search with then and they report no recordings.
However the default still shown on credit reports. Is it possible to get the default removed from credit reports?
You will need to write to the credit referencing agencies and provide them with the details of the judgement being set aside. This will enable them to update their records.
Hi Melanie
We have written to all the credit reference agencies, we have had a reply from Experian saying they have removed the judgement but have only maked the default as satisfied. So to me any credit checks will be supect because the default still shows to lenders.
Thanks Geoff
How would these letters work for debts included within a current IVA. Anyone had any success in getting default notices actually removed using them or do you need to wait until the IVA is finished before issuing these letters?
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.
It won't make any difference to your rating anyway as that will be bad for 6 years from the date of approval.
