Me and hubby had our creditor's meeting yesterday and we are over the moon that our joint IVA has been approved. Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to Melanie, Hywel, Angela and Tina who helped us through the whole process, they really have been great, so professional and non judgemental and I highly recommend them. We were terrified going into this but the relief we felt yesterday was overwhelming. You don't realise how much the debt is taking over your life until you start seeing an end in sight. We would also like to say a big thank you to everyone on this forum for all the wonderful advice and compassion that you so unselfishly show. Knowing that we were not alone and hearing all the wonderful things that were said about Melanie and her team made our decision so much easier and helped us pull our heads out of the sand and deal with our mountains of debt head on. We are expecting a baby and we are so happy that we can finally really look forward to our little ones arrival. Feel genuinely excited and happy now, we cannot wait. I will post our horrendous debts and (quite surprising) voting results when we get the final figures through. Can't find the words to thank everyone enough though. Here's to a new debt free start (in around 6 years), I know it won't be easy but we are looking forward to being able to answer the phone and opening the mail again with no fear!!![:D][:D][:D]

Congratulations,

Time now to enjoy your new baby.

Your positive words are enlightening to people like myself who are currently preparing to go into an IVA. We too have chosen Melanie and her team and so far they have been nothing but excellent.

Really pleased to see your news, so uplifting to hear of someone leaving behind the misery of debt.

Take care of yourself and your little one, new life is so precious you do not need debt to spoil that special time.

Good luck to you too with your IVA Billy1010...you really couldn't be in better hands. Thanks also to everyone for all your kind words, it really is comforting to know we are not alone. I don't know what we would have done without this forum. I have been reading some of the blogs and the journeys some of you guys have been on, you are truly an inspirationxx
