Hi all,

Barclayloan have started phoning my wife again. We know it's them as we stored the numbers when we were going through the IVA. We haven't ignored the calls, just missed them, so don't know why they are calling. The last one she had was about 6 weeks ago, and they were saying that they hadn't received any official notification regarding the IVA.

Also, you'll be glad to know that I have been pre-approved for a Capital One Card!!!
Carl.

If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of credit card payments!!!

I would get in contact with your IP and tell them that barclay card as hassling you..

Also i wouldnt hold your breath with the captial one card, i get offers from finance all the time sayin i had been pre-aproved its just marketing slogan to make you think that you have been accepted and then to apply. But good luck!

I had a loan with barclaycard, and they were still phoning me 2 months after my iva had been approved,so in the end as well as getting my ip to contact them i got them to check the insolvency register whilst i was on the phone to them,as they were saying that they had no record of me being in an iva.Anyway it seems to have worked cause they haven't contacted me since[:D]Hope you manage to get it sorted out,as it can be very frustrating!! Btw,when i phoned the AA to change my car insurance details the other day they said i had been pre approved for a car loan!! I said thanks, but no thanks[:D].
please visit my blog http://tori.blogs.iva.co.uk/ a second chance..

I agree with Tori - I would get in touch with your IP and tell them.

I would also be inclined to anwer the phone, after all, there is nothing can do to you. You just tell them about your IVA and that what they are doing is illegal and not to phone you again. Then put the phone down.

No, you are not allowed to, but I think Davram was being sarcastic!

I frequently get these letters telling me that I have been pre approved for all sorts of stuff!

Sarcastic?!! Me?!!

As far as Barclayloan are concerned, as I said before, it's not that we've been ignoring the calls, they are calling when no one is home and it is coming up as a missed call on the phone. I do want to answer it but haven't had the chance yet.

Sorry Carl, didn't read the post properly! I must admit, I deleted all the creditor numbers from our phone as soon as the IVA was approved.
