Hi all, i have been in an iva for 2 years now. I originally owed £38000 at the start, the iva company reduced this to £16800 over 5 years. So after 2 years of paying monthly payments that amount is down to about £10000. I would like to end my iva early. What would be a realistic figure to offer them as a final settlement as my father said he would lend me some money. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks emily.

Hi,

I as you have paid 2 years already and you have 3 years left I would minus the fees you would have paid to your provider for that time and would offer around the £7000.00 mark.

You could also contact your provider and ask them for an amount to clear it

The best thing to do would be to ask your IP to provide you with a settlement figure based upon you returning the original dividend. I would say that this would be around £8,000, but best to check first with them directly.
