He does it every year! As he is at home all day, and he enjoys cooking he does the lot. I wouldn't have a clue what to do in the kitchen now unless it involved a tin and the microwave! Oh, and I can make toast!

My parents love his roast dinners.

He does a mean curry as well!

I don't even know how my oven works - and the thought of cooking a whole roast dinner is just too hideous for words!

Isn't it funny that if we were having this discussion 50 years ago, most men would not even know where the kitchen was. My Dad could not even make a cup of tea, and Mum waited on him hand to foot - but that was how it was in those days. I think we should salute our great partners for the efforts they make in the domestic engineering department.

Jan - when will you be able to enjoy a slice of Chocolate Truffle Torte again?

Good luck for your operation. I have just broken my leg so at the moment my hubby isdoing everything. It is killing me watchinghim I just want to get up and tidy up. Ive decided now though that I am going to make the most of it though when he goes to work tomorrow I am going to rearrange the xmas decorations he has put up even though I shouldnt be doing anything in case Idislodge the broken bone. At least I might get a couple of glasses of wine with my xmas dinner as I usually have to do the driving-not this year though [:D][:D]
Iva finished !

Thanks MTL and CJ.

I've been meaning to ask Melanie - did hubby ever do the torte for you?

As to me, it will be a while before I can eat anything with sugar in it, and then only a few spoonfuls! Liquids only for the first four weeks!

We're having it on Xmas Day Jan - as none of us really like Christmas Pudding. I am going to decorate it with holly sprigs and berries, with a dusting of icing sugar, so it should look really pretty on my table. OMG I am starting to sound like Anthea Turner!!
