I know there is a separate thread for Frugal Friends meeting but there has been nothing on there since 15 Feb. I remember Andy saying he was going to talk to Melanie about the next meeting - any update? I haven't managed to get to a meeting yet but would hope to get to the next one.

Nothing has been heard yet Elizabeth. David Mond was also asking if he could sponsor one, but nothing on that yet either.

Not seen Mel on here for a while, so I am not sure if she is away again?

Only been to one meeting myself, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and got the chance to meet otherwise faceless people.

Hopefully we can sort something sooner rather than later.

Regards.

I hope we get some news soon...it will be a shame if the FF cant continue......as so many people seemed to get a lot out of it and they were growing in numbers and popularity.
lets hope someone says YES soon or at least if its not going to happen then they say NO so we can stop anticipating .

Be good to know one way or the other.........I think Melanie's been a little under the weather since her holiday. I'm sure she'll be back soon.

I would be up for this meeting but it would have to be down south at some point. It would be nice to meet up so I can put a face to a name [:)]

They used to be at various locations in the country Ray, I went to the one at Christmas and it was great.

I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms!

They're brilliant, and it is good to be able to put faces to names and also to chat about debt without worrying who else is listening to you.

so many of the comments re FF are about the complete freedom we have about our debt..no feelings of shame or judgment or making excuses...just total acceptance from everyone....

plus the availability of being able to get some one on one from the experts is an added bonus and one we have hugely appreciated ourselves

and then add on to that the fact we are truly spoiled with free drinks and a lovely buffet...all add up to a "must go" event.

hopefully 2009 will be a good year again for FF...but if they arent on calendar I would like to say a THANK YOU to all the sponsors for the couple we did attend....made all the difference to our journey

David

When we sponsored the Portsmouth meeting, we found the location and booked it, posted details on here and invited people to sign up for it. Admin were not involved at all.

If you decide to sponsor a meeting, we'll be happy to help with organisation.
