Hi all,
This is my first post on here, my paperwork was collected by the courier today for an iva. Just wondering what the average wait time is from now until you here if the iva has been accepted? Great forum by the way loads of useful and friendly advice.
I presume that is all the statements etc that you have sent off? The time scale varies from company to company and person to person. It is usually 6 to 8 weeks, but it can sometimes take longer.
Can I ask which company you are using?

You should hear from the IP firm within a day or two and if all the documentation has been supplied the proposal should follow within a week. If not a little longer may be required. Once you sign and return the IVA proposal creditors will receive up to three weeks notice so overall 6-8 weeks should be sufficient to have the IVA in place. Good luck.

It really depends upon the quality of the information you present to your IP and the level of research which is carried out prior to the presentation of the proposals. But generally this should take no longer than 4 - 6 weeks and in a number of instances can be much quicker.
Hopefully your proposal will be through soon, make sure you check it and you are happy with everything in there.
Your meeting will then be here before you know it.
Good luck.
