Our annual review was due on 14th March (can't believe our first year has passed already!!), but as yet we haven't had anything from our IP. Is this normal? When I rang the IVA company, they said they have up to 2 months to get a report out to us. I'm worried that ifthey deide to increase our payments we will have to find extra for the 2 months we will have missed waiting for the report.

Have you done a new I&E at all? This should be the first thing so that your payments can be assessed for the next year.

I'd give them another ring and tell them that you are concerned about your payments going up.

Hi - yes we've done I&E and can afford a bit extra each month, but my worry is that they will ask for it backdating to review date i.e 2 months worth of extra payment in one go plus that current months, or worse say we've defaulted cos we didn't pay the extra from the review date.

They should have told you what your payments are going to be by now - we were told straight away.

I would get back in touch with them on Tuesday to tell them your concerns.

Try and keep those monies that you might have to pay to one side pending receipt of agreement from your IP. Review in my opinion can only start from when the IP has done the review and not be backdated - chase them accordingly.

I agree with David - there should be no backdating if they have not done the review on time.

Check the words on your IVA document - ours says increase from month AFTER the review is concluded....as the others say speak with your IVA for your own clarification....but you should be fine.

My iva co DFD did my first anual review and said it wont be backdated. I think your company will inform you when the revised payment starts. they wont backdate it I am certain.

I did my 3rd review in February, and have not heard back from my IP as was the case in the first year too, so I can only assume everything is fine and nothing has changed.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.
