Got it now was McCann Taylor I think - still was it her you spoke to or a member of her staff regarding the contingency?

member of staff, this is the third contact in 3 years. I have asked for her a number of times when we were in first 12 monthsw due to discounted mortage ending and no one ever called back. So we had to sort it ourselves with our old mortgage advisor. Stayed with same Bank but now tied in past end of IVA (not that we had any choice).

Don't want to rock the boat as so close to end, but as I started a job can afford to pay more (which I am doing), but feel that we have had our expenditure trimmed. We are finally able to make ends meet, and after spending no more on things like house, clothes etc for so long we needed to up the amounts. Oh well not the case.

Because I know most of them and if a nudge in the right direction from me can help (it usually has the desired effect) and they ensure whoever has been advising with incorrect information is brought up to date!

Thanks David, although I know anomity on here, I wouldn't want her to know who I am, as I feel I can ask questions on here without rocking the boat at IP.

I know IP is there to help but as I've had very little support from them I see them as Big Brother . No disrespect to any IP just my opinions as they are controlling my finances.

Understood. But why don't you send her a personal letter explaining what you have heard on Forums and that it does not appear that you are (a) being listened to or (b) not being fairly treated and (c) expect her to sort it out with a reduction in contribution based on your current outgoings and finaly (d) getting her to agree a contingency allowance as per CCCS and CFS guidelines.

I just need to get courage to do that. As I say don't want to rock the boat. Have emailled my contact there re CCS list and guidelines, but am losing internet this week as have changed suppliers. So will wait till that is sorted out.
All I get is the creditors wouldn't agree to it.

I was asked if my proposal for clothes was too high, to be fair the contact has moved some stuff around into other catergories (which I didn't know existed). I know being 3 years in I should be fully aware of all this, b ut I feel like we have only got through on a wing and a prayer.

Does the I&E allow for house decoration? I would thing it does to allow for property maintenance, which helps with final equity release but I am scared on spending anything (as money is tight), but now I'm working and we have a little more money the jobs which we have put off are now becoming achieveable, but I am scared that the IP will say we can't do these things.

Just Had a thought the Bank statements I submit for review each year show an overdraft, shouldn't the IP have picked up on this if it was an issue? As explained we did tell them at inital IVA signing etc

The IP should have picked up on this and yes you are allowed an allowance for house maintenance. Please pick up the courage and send her that letter.

Is this the same bracket as repairs and renewals? As get £40 a month but this includes car maintenance. Which cost £400 on it's oen last year. The problem was we were on minimum payment of £200 so everything was on minimum, as didn't need much decor but it's all starting to look very shabby and desparately needs doing.

Well now is the time to possibly re-visit your overall expenditure with your IP.
