Hi
I have just joined the Forum due to the fact that I want some advice on a company called IVA Consumer Action based in Poole Dorset who called me the other day and said they believed I had been misold my IVA -due to the fact that I have no assets - I do not own my house own a car etc and that I would be better off if I go Bankrupt - The guy I spoke to even told me that he could organise a new Bank Account for me with the HBSC, I would only be charged £418 per month for three months and then I would be debt free following court appearance etc.All I want to know Is this compny for real.

Hi,

These companies are vultures - only you can decide if you are happy with your IVA.

I would simply rip this letter up and shove it in the bin where it belongs

Watch them like a hawk - they are in the same town as another load of hasbeens or neverbeens run by a struck off solicitor who say the same thing - they can't do it! J

They are a real company - but if you are happy that you have not been mis-sold an IVA I would personally avoid them like the plague. If you need to go bankrupt, it will only cost you £510 - and you certainly do not need to use the services of a bankruptcy assistance company to fill in a few simple forms.

Thanks everyone - I am so glad to have joined, by the way they even emailed all the forms for me to fill in I will now delete them from my home computer - I was thinking they were a scam and could so nearly have been caught as I have had no less than 4 different administrators dealinig with my IVA since August last year

I'm glad you've found us as well Sweetpea! You could have been throwing good money away there.

As to them opening an account with HSBC - they are not sympathetic to IVA's or Bankruptcy at all!

You do well to avoid them.

If you have any questions about your IVA, then this is the place to come.
