Hi all, just a quick note, been a little quite for the week as I've been trying to keep busy with my creditors meeting looming 10.30am Wednesday.
But I am worried (very worried infact), on the flip side of that for the last week (except today) I have not had a single call and only 2 letters, one from the bank telling we they are keeping my overdraft limit as it is since I have started using it and the other from barclaycard telling me that I am missing out only using their card by missing payments!
Still hopefully all will go well Wednesday and I can look forward to the future.
And at least I am not in the same boat as my cousin who both her & her husband have both lost their jobs and have a 1 year old.... no debt apart from a whooping great big mortgage payment (and I mean big, the largest I have seen from any joy average couple)

My calls stopped leading up to the creditors meeting on May 6th. IVA went through with all yes votes for those that voted for a proposal of 22p in the £. Hope this helps.

Yeah thanks, mine will be about 37p in the £ and that is better than BR for them, but MBNA is the main holder and it is borderline if they will want DMP instead, if they do then I think BR it will be.... very tough decision though [:(]

I wouldn't worry about the dividend level, I think from what I have seen is that it is better to have a dividend level of less than 50p in the £1.
I had two creditors arguing that my IVA proposal was not appropriate as my dividend was too high and I could satisfy my debts via a DMP.
Given the uncertainty of DMP, I certainly did not want to go down this route and told them I would have done BR.
tele2002 - mine is either 37 or 39 Melanie got it through on 95% acceptance - Amex were the one who voted against but I gather that is almost normal procedure for them

God i wish mine would stop i had 8 phone calls the other day all from capital one i wouldnt mind but work nights, and due to my kids being at school i need to keep phone on incase of emergencies, the calls are coming everyday and not just once driving me bonkers lol, or maybe thats the lack of sleep
Hi Heidi, I have used the choose to refuse service so maybe that cut mine down, but I do sometimes answer them and tell them the situation, they make notes and go away.
Not had a really bad one yet, I do have to say that RMA for MBNA was seriously irratating me at one point so I spoke to one of the callers and asked them what they constituted as harrasment and then outlined what the government outlined it as..... seemed to cut them down to 2 a day after that. But in the last week had all but none.... and none today at all!
