Melanie does not push herself on this forum and I have never had a problem with anything she has posted.
We have had other IP firms who have tried to push themselves, in which case they are jumped on immediately!
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt

Hi
Matt3786 actually states that they will contact Melanie before Mel states where her office is, so no problem with this.
Reviews good and bad are much needed on IVA.com because there is no other way for potential clients to check performance of potential IVA providers.
Regards
Jan I've just looked in for 5 mins before I go out again. Keep me straight please - if I have anything to say to aa newposter I (I think) direct them to iva.com but I always say how I have found Melanie to be excellent etc. Presumably I can still do that?
Hi
Yes, personal recommendations are fine on this forum.
Companies and professional individuals can't recommend themselves or tout for business.
Regards
Right end of subject
As I said right at the start I cannot thank the experts enough there advice is so needed.
This was never meant to have a go at Melanie, as i repeatedly said
I have read and learned so much about this procedure from there advice.
This was only a comment with regard to Postings.
If I have upset or have typed something wrong and it has been interpreted the wrong way I apologise.
I also am a professional
don't worry onechance we are all here for IVA advice. I started the thread to try and get some reviews posted for newbies to get honest views of IP's and hopefully I have achieved this. We all have different views on things at that to me is what a forum is about 'discussing your views'

IVA.co.uk The best place for debt advice. Thanks to Melanie Giles, David Mond, David and J (Elv5) Kallis, Dand, Skippy, Andy Davie
However this is another thought if you read David Monds responses they are totally responsible and professional and independant
Being a professional person sometimes Melanie appears to get too close which is not good for everybody.
We truly rely on that person to be totally impartial.
I know I am going to get abused for this posting but as I say I am a professional person who has managed to come to terms with my problem and hopefully my creditors except the Bxxtxxrds at N/r.
I just want to hopefully ensure the site stays professional.
listen we need people like Melanie,David,Adam and Michael however we need that professionlism to make changes.
Here is the kicker why if you go for B/r its over in 3 years.
Really if you look at the whole scenario there is no difference.
This forum should be looking at saying to the creditors look we want to pay u but it ends after 3 years.
It seems that even I/ps are recommending IVAs against B/r.
Why ?
I do not hear one comment about the fact that they lent us the money when it was quite obvious that you could not pay.
Also the fact that no one objects to the missed payment charge and interest charges that are put on us where are the professionals on that.
Why should we be subjected to N/r saying your wife is in this when she quite clearly wasnt.
That has to stop.
I hear the message we owe our creditors but hang on a minute just because we owe does not mean we have to pay.
I look forward to the3 responses
I too am a professional - a retired senior public servant. In my view Melanie Giles is utterly professional in every sense of the word that is the reason she is held in high regard by major creditors and her clients on and off this forum. There are many people in the Public Service who, as you say, get close. I could name three permanent secretaries for starters and one High Court Judge.
What an interesting post which has been going on now all weekend.
I have no need to defend myself, or the way I provide advice on this forum oe directly to my clients - but would thank the majority of posters who have responded to Onechance's comments about me.
Because the law of this land dictates the remedies available to creditors Onechance - and what on earth do you think that the IP profession can do about this?
It is a simple fact that if you borrow money, the creditor can have a reasonable right to recover it. Can I ask what profession you come from?
I have said what I have to say about Melanie - I could write a PhD thesis on what she did for me. She did all of the things you seem to require but are not getting. I will post no further comment on this except that I regard Melanie Giles as a real friend.
