I have no assest at all, i live in rented accomodation, have never had any savings or anything such as a car, any items i have in the house are of low value (I've tried to sell them to help with the current costs of living, but had no success).
You can start again with a clean sheet and have no debts hanging over your head.

But will my remaining creditors come back and start harrassing me? They weren't a problem before as i was in control of my own debts, having only entered into the IVA to try and help out my at the time wife, and I really don't want to be pestered.
If you go bankrupt then all your debts will be included and once you have been declared BR then your creditors cannot come after you anymore.

had a chat with them today, apparently there is no such thing as a payment break, but was advised that I could stop my standing order for a maximum of 3 months before a notice of breach is served, which if i did that would of course push the running time of my IVA up to the beginning of 2011.
Also asked about a full and final settlement figure and was told that if i was to attempt to go down that route, i should try and make an offer as close to my final figure as possible, which is a bit of a b*****.
Most IP's will authorise a payment break, which is not the same as just missing your payments for three months, so that does surprise me.
