Hi All

Just thought I would drop you all a quick note apparently a load of 20p pieces have been sent out without a date on them. If you have one of these then the treasury will give you £50 for it! So get checking all your 20p pieces! [:)]

Morning everyone.

The coins are still legal tender and as they come in then the treasury will take them out of circulation. As far as I am aware, the treasury will give you no more than face value for them, but they may be worth up to £50 to private collectors. Still worth hanging on to if you find one though!!

Regards.

It was on the news last night that the London Mint will pay £50 for each of the coins without a date on them

London Mint who are not part of the Royal Mint will pay £50 each but you might get more on ebay or by holding on to them. I suppose it depends how many are kept in private hands out of the 200,000 sent out in error.
