I will have compleated nearly three years into my IVA before I go on maternity leave.. How likley are my creditors to allow me to do this??. I am so worried that they will not allow it.. Please can anyone send me some reasurance??. It must be my hormones i keep going into a blind panic!!.. Kind regards Helen

[:D]helen congratulations, under your circumstances your request seems very reasonable to me i can,t see a problem with that, plus you could ask for a variation for reduced payments for the remainder of your iva when your little baby comes along as your disposable income will reduce you must be thrilled, good luck.[:D][:D][:D]

I have been paying more into my IVA than my orignal agrement as I had quite a large pay rise in the first 6 months of my IVA.. I am hoping to continue my orignal paymeny plan when I return to work so there will be no actual reduction in payments just a 6 month extension.. I am just so worried that it will fail now!!.. I have worked so hard at this over the past 2.5 years.. As you all no its not easy!!.. Thanks for your reply I forgot what it was like to worry like this!!!.. H xxx

helen stop worrying.your iva is very flexible mine is for 60 monthly payments over a 72 month period so ive got a 12 month allowance for any unforseen circumstances.yours should be very similar, regardless of your wages, when doing your annual review when your baby is born, bless him/her, your disposable income will drop, believe me baby,s are expensive to look after so your ip might call a varition meeting to reduce your payments over the duration of your iva including extension of 6 months if req,d,call your iva company there will not be a problem, keep us informed if you need help you will get it on this forum no problem.good luck.[:)]

Hi.

Congrats from me as well.

Your IP should be sympathetic, especially as you have paid extra across.

It will be in no one's best interests for your IVA to fail now, so I think you will be ok.

It's quite pleasant here now - just started to rain a little, but a nice cool breeze as well.

I've put forward lots of these type of variations and have never had one turned down.
