Hi guyz, sorry haven't been on the forum lately. been a little poorly[:(] (not swine flu-thank god)

anyway:

barclays have been continuously phoning me now for the past month, i can't understand why they don't get the message that i'm in an IVA!
everytime i tell them this, they keep asking me if i can make a payment, how come they still do this even after entering an IVA?
EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON................
[IVA JUST ACCEPTED!!]

Hi,

Sorry to hear that you have been unwell and hope you are fully recovered now.

Barclays are a pain, you are not the first poster to continue to have harrassment from them after your IVA has been agreed.

Bear in mind that this is just a call centre that is calling, and it is probably that no one has updated the records yet.

Let your IP know and ask them to speak to Barclays.

You can only keep telling them that you can't make a payment as you are in an IVA and then put the phone down.

you can also consider reporting them for harrassment. I believe it is the FSA who you would make the claim to!
50 months down 22 to go!

I had the same trouble with Vanquis Card. My IVA firm asked me to get their fax number and contact and they would then fax them over a copy of the chairmans report.

Calls finally stopped.

Nearly 3 months since IVA accepted and I now get hardly any post and no telephone calls unless personal.

Another positive for being in an IVA ..... we become paperless households and save trees

Apart from the junk - we had half a dozen letters today and all of them are in the recycling!

hi shuli i had the same problem so i called my local county court where the iva was applied for and they dealt with it they wrote to barclays and told them that if they didnt stop hassling me it would constitute a breach of the iva terms and conditions and that my debt to them would be written off by law and they would not get a penny and that they could start court proceedings against them for harrasment funny enough the calls stopped lol. i then got in touch with my other creditors and told them that they are not to call again or i would report them to the county court for breaching the iva. if you think about it you have entered into a contract with your creditors and part of the agreement is that they stop harrasing you they are in breach of the iva not you. im not saying your county court will do the same but you can at least try but in the mean time just tell you creditors that if they dont leave you alone you will report them to the court for breaching the terms and conditions of the iva.
