Interesting to see IVA proposals giving the IP discretion as to when to distribute. Perhaps another thing which has given our profession a bad name over recent times, and not in accordance with insolvency legislation either. Good to see that DFD are in the ball with playing catch up.

Hi
I've tried phoning DFD today with no success and I've emailed the I&E Team about our annual review and haven't had a reply from them.
I'm know I'm probably worrying about nothing but with the fact nothing has been paid and we didn't have an annual review last year either, it's starting to play on my mind.
The stress of it all is affecting my relationship with my partner too, to the point he's thinking of leaving.

Hi
I've just had a call back from DFD as Declan promised. Thanks for all your help. It's all good news the distribution is being looked into at the moment and everything is as it should be with the IVA itself cos we are in surplus
Thanks again. I can rest easy again now [:)][:)][:)]

I meant to say thanks to everyone who's given advise. it's been a great help. You all do a great job on this website. I would have given up along time ago if it hadn't been for this forum.
I'd recommend it to anyone with a debt problem. it really makes you realise you're not alone and it's nothing to be ashamed of

Hi Sharon

I am with DFD and was transferred from Clearstart also almost 18 months ago. I had doubts and did not want to change but there was no choice. I have to say I find DFD very good they have helped me a lot and reassured me a lot also, although soemtimes the communication seems slow you have to be assertive to ensure your mind is eased sooner rather than later as we can only both imagine how busy this firm must be! best wishes

I found the person I spoke to day really helpful and polite. Sometimes it's not what they say but the way they say it can either help or make you feel completely worthless especially when you feel in such a vulnerable position. Debt is never a nice thing to talk about or deal with and I can't say I'm proud of the financial position I'm in but I am very proud of the fact I took the bull by the horns admitted to the problem and all but solved it with just 24 months to go.
At the end I'll be able to hold my head high and although I got myself into the debt in the first place I did my very best to get out of it.
I feel much better now knowing my IVA is in such good hands with DFD.

From reading your last post I completely agree with you. At times its not easy to face up to a debt problem, but through your hard work and willingless to tackle your debt you are now just 24 months away from becomming completely debt free - something rare these days.
Remember,if you do have any questions or queries, do not ever hesitate to contact us.

Declan, I would like to say that your post is encouraging for people who have an IVA with debt free direct.Your presence on the forum is great for giving advice and providing a great service for debt free direct. My iva is with ClearDebt but it is nice to see that other IVA providers have a presence on the forum to ensure as many as possible IVA's are completed. Please keep up the good work.

Thank you for your nice comments ivas4us. To be able to help out is certainly a benefit and especially if our own clients are concerned about their IVA. I feel it is hugely important for them to be able to ask me directly or post a question. I know its not always easy to pick up the phone and if my presence here can help them, then that's what's important.

Thanks

could not agree more and you are providing an excellent service to both debt free direct and its customers (is customers the right word?) I hope you get something in return.

Most IPs would refer to their "customers" as clients. Declan is bound to get huge personal reward for helping all of the DFD clients who post on this forum with specific queries, who have been unable to get answers via usual routes. It is great to see so many representatives now from the main IP firms who deal with IVAs on the forum.
