Just thought I would post that having an iva is not the end of the world in reference to job applications. Since being in an iva I hate the bit on job applications about your credit history. I completed the application form honestly about my debt and at the interview I explained I was in an iva. I was worried this would go against my application and nearly did not bother as the company is a law firm however they called and offered me the job[:D] so just to show honesty is the best policy and some companies do look favorable at iva's when recruiting.

Great news on the new job. Glad some companies dont treat people who are in IVA's like bank robbers!!

I would never prejudice against anyone coming to my firm for a job who had had debt difficulties - in fact it would probably be a bonus!

Well done on getting the job from me as well!

I was credit checked for my old job...but it was part of the security clearance, I don't think they cared if I had bad credit as long as my employer was aware of it,meaning I couldn't be blackmailed over it into releasing national security information.
Completion Certificate received September 2012.

I applied to a company before, just a basic admin job and they would not take anyone on who had even missed a mortgage payment [:0] bet in the current climate they did not have many applications. Thanks for all the lovely congratulation messages everyone.

Northerngirl well done and many congratulations.

Smiled at Melanies reply......I suppose experience can be a benefit in some employments.
I came into this world with nothing and still have most of it left!
