What's a bit annoying is, the conversation i had was exactly the same conversation i had with someone 3 months ago, so surely this was all on record, plus I informed my supervisor by email on the 28th of August to inform them of the reasons, to which I had a further conversation with her on the telephone to clarify my reasons, she then said that another member of staff would email me to deal with this, and that email never arrived in my inbox, so i really don't know who looks at what when they look at people's files, they should have ever last bit of contact with me recorded...............shouldn't they?

If that is the case your IP does not even need sanction from creditors and can inform them at the annual review. Your offer is fair and sensible and I do not understand why this is causing a problem. All IP firms have problem clients whereas you certainly do not appear to be one of them. I wish all of our clients kept us informed of changes.

The biggest stress for me has been the fact that I was made unemployed in December last year and informed them of the fact by letter, which apparently they never received, so since then until now, I've lived a life of a hermit just to be able to make the payments that have been due, I owe £4800 now (£4500 at the end of this month as i have the actual funds to pay it this month), TBH would love it all to be over and done with, but 14 months never seemed such a long time.

Great news on the job - well done! And don't worry too much about your lost payments, your IP will not want to see the case fail either.

Good luck with getting this sorted out Lofty. Your proposition for making up the payments isn't silly at all, it seems the most sensible one to me x

Guys, on a semi related note, i asked how much i owed, and was quoted £4500, however in a letter dated May 2008 i had paid £7,200 into my IVA so far, and since then have paid in another £4,200 for a total of £11,400, in the same letter it said that my creditors were owed a total of £12, 472.15, however in my annual report for that year, my creditors total was written down as being £18,014, so i have 2 questions:

1) is the extra £5,542 the fees my IP charge me?

2) with the amount paid so far into my IVA would I have a reasonable chance of asking for all payments made so far to be taken as a full and final settlement? (as I understand I would still pay until it was either accepted or not, which would mean at least another £600-900 being paid in if it were to take 3 months).

Thanks.
