Hi all , this is my first post on the forum , I guess I've been a little shy about posting and more than a little embarrassed about our situation.
Pennyless , reading your post/blog has made me realise its not just me/us in this ridiculous situation and it has defo made me feel a little better , so thanks for that.
We are just a little behind you in the process of the IVA , we literally have just got our package of documents together to send out to Angela at Melanie Giles and some process that has been waiting for valuations and account statements , finding documents etc etc.
We were the same , our filing system was pathetic to say the least.
Anyway , I look forward to hearing more about your meeting and hopefully your acceptance post , in the meantime I'll try to keep updated where we stand in our process.
Its also been very encouraging to hear all the praise Melanie and her employees get on the forum , I must say I've had nothing but a good experience with both Tina and Angela up to now , that initial phonecall was the hardest thing I've ever done , just made me feel like a total failure but Tina was just fantastic.
I was a bit unsure of what to put in my background statement(another very difficult thing to do) , I was just honest and hope it comes across well enough.
Anyway , I'm waffling now so , gonna get some sleep or at least try to.
The very best of luck to all of the campaigners ;p
LDM84, welcome to the forum, I think we've all been there with the embarrassment and so glad that Pennyless has helped you feel better.
I can only confirm you're in very safe hands with Melanie and her wonderful team, she certainly is very well liked and respected on the forum by all of us.
Keep us up to date with your progress we're all here for each other whether it be for advice or support.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
LDM84 welcome to the forum and thank-you for your kind words regarding my thread. Apart from a reminder to myself, if it serves to help others as much as others have assisted me on here, then I feel it is and has been very worthwhile.
Sometimes I honestly post just because I am feeling down and within a short time I can get support off some brilliant posters on here without having to bother my IP or Wife. Apart from my Wife, who already is getting over a major hurdle in her own circumstances, I have no one close to chat to in regards to the IVA and must admit at times, even with her support it's still a lonely place to be. However, hopefully that will soon all change and I will be back in control of my own finances and able to feel better about myself again.
I hope you will keep posting and look forward to watching your progress.
I came into this world with nothing and still have most of it left!
Ladyh after getting you and yours through 52 months of looking after your money and being disciplined in regards to all things financial, i honestly think you will find it much simpler then your expecting and you deserve it.
A massive achievement as are all those succesfull IVA's!

Ladyh I am breaking doctor's orders again by looking at the screen before 4 weeks are up but I must say to you "Of course it will work out- for you have shown enormous courage in what you have so far achieved - do not, please, doubt ever again." D
David, you must stop coming online until your doctor tells you that you can! You don't want to risk doing any damage!
Ladyh - that finish line is getting closer all the time. Just don't go totally mad once you get there![:D]

Certainly does Cath....hoping to see yours and Rainbows dates also soon. Not sure if Rainbows received theirs yet?
Now just a waiting game I suppose and I doubt I will sleep any better until the meeting is done, however, it is a good feeling to know that all the mountain of documentation is complete....not much I can do now but HOPE......but hey with Melanie, Tom and Angela on my case I feel I have a fighting chance at least.
