What a fantastic post to read - I must admit I was very attached to your thread over the weekend as well - as you make the whole process seems so much more human and personal - and sometimes even IPs need to remember the emotional turmoil our clients can feel in the early stages of decision making.

You have a hubby in a million there - and he can cook too! What more could a girl want for - apart from her IVA to be accepted of course. You do need to change that forum name - as a gesture to what you have actually achieved over the last week. How about "I will Survive"!!!!

I agree about the forum name. It always saddens me to see such negative names. I feel people are labelling themselves unfairly based on just one aspect of their lives.

That's really good news soashamed, and I agree that you need to change your username.

I'm glad you're going to stick around, and believe me, you'll soon pick things up and be able to advise!

Well done 'The artist formally known as soashamed'!

So happy for you!

May I suggest a suitable name for you is 'X Factor'?!!! You definitely have it my love.

I am so pleased soashamed! I agree that a change of name is in order.

Can't believe that you are the same person who was so down last week!

You and hubby will end up being stronger for this - I know we are.

Dave and I are stronger as well. Although we never argued about my situation, we are more open with each other now.

My hubby does ALL the cooking in this house and he's much better at it than me - I can't remember the last time I cooked - it was YEARS ago!

He is very down today - money is and always has been the thing that he worries about most. We've just had another chat and he said he would feel better once it was all sorted - yep, me too - but we've made the first step and hopefully we'll get there

Most lovely was when I told him that I never intended to get into this mess - he said "I know love, I really do believe you were trying to sort it"

Awwwww! I still feel a complete prat though - am not ready for "I will survive" Give me a few more days!

My hubby does most of the cooking in this house too! I do cook a couple of times a week but don't enjoy it at all.

You're on the road to debt freedom, now you've opened up to him you've contacted an IP, it may seem a long slog but it soon goes and believe me you'll both feel the freedom and benefits of an IVA before long hopefully.

He sounds like a lovely man and I am so please he acknowleges you were trying to sort it.

We were open about our debt beforehand as we're both party to our situation but we rowed tremendously about money, now'a'days no rows about money we both just accept the budget.

All the best to you xx
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Dave does the cooking in our house as well. He says I only go in the kitchen as I have to walk through it to get to the bathroom!

I do cook every now and then, but I hate it and it usually ends up cremated so I leave it to the expert!

Tut Tut!!

Hmm - stupid flippin keys that don't work when you press the unlock button, so we can get in the blessed thing. And hubby is stressed out enough with everything as it is.
