Hi Mel

I am with DFD I was switched over from Clearstart and they really have been great but maybe you need to be more assertive in dealing with them sometimes eg get names and if you dont get a response ask again also speak with someone who is dealing with your exact query not the 1 person who answers the phone eg. if its an annual review speak with the review team and if you are not able to do this or are not happy I'd ask for your Supervisor to call you back at home and this should help you. best wishes
I think its great to know that Declan is part of this forum so if you give him the info it should certainly get sorted asap

I am with DFD in my secound year and to be honest I have found them very good. always responsive and I have not looked back. I had a lot of debt and they managed to get my IVA plan agreed by all 13 creditors including NR who had £20k owing. You wont go far wrong.

great post markss in favour of DFD and I know Declan's presence on the forum is very welcomed and know he has personally helped a friend of mine.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Declan does a great job on the forum, both for existing and potential DFD clients, and often takes a lot of flack - but deals with it sensibly and timely, and is a true credit to his employers.

Not the easiest job in the world, but another indication of why this forum is such a valuable tool to helping people who may not get the right answer in the first instance from their chosen IP firm.

Thank you for your kind words guys.
I have found, since I have started posting just how important it is in terms of both our own (DFD) clients and everyone in general. As Melanie very rightly mentioned this forum is a very valuable tool.

Thanks

You have made a valuable contribution to the forum Declan, and you have stuck around for longer than some other posters for other companies.

Hope you continue to stick around for a lot longer.

Good luck for the 27th from me too Becca i am also with DFD and have been for over 2 years, some hiccups along the way but as others have said we have Declan on board now as well as all the other experts whose advice is invaluable, so best wishes and fingers crossed.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

You have Declan posting as well. It's great that he posts and you know there is a contact with your IVA firm if you need it.

Hi, I am currently starting an IVA and originally phoned debt free direct, whilst I still haven't chosen a firm I was put off when I asked if I would get the same person anytime I contacted them and was told no, this has put me off using them.

In most IP firms you may end up speaking to different people about different issues - the key thing to look for is can you have unlimited access to your IP and will they speak to you personally if necessary? If you cannot have access to the ultimate decision maker, you may feel that you are not going to get a complete service.
